GPI LLSR 416 Max Package adding New Intake

Well, my car is heading back down to HorsePower Headquarters aka GPI for some more upgrades. Going to be switching to a LLSR cam this time, we were hoping to have a LOD LS7 intake to test against my current MSD but the intake is still not ready. (we will hopefully get one soon)

I know more than a few guys have wanted to see someone do this build, so we are going to take a pretty good swing at it and see what these Max Package Heads and the MSD intake can do. I think Ryan is going to throw a little cam in it this time, something like 260/270 and around .700 lift.

I don't know what type of numbers to expect, but one thing is for sure, by going to GPI it will be done right and they will get everything out of her she has to offer.

Now we’re talking. This is my future setup once I get some bills paid on 2 houses.

Or gpi cuts me a deal to go all out and do a big LLSR cam lol

Updates will be coming soon. Car is set to hit the dyno next week. We will have to see how the MSD intake works on the setup, but with the recently posted results at GPI with the LOD intake, that may be a winner with this setup also when they get the LS7 version ready.

I will update as I get more info from GPI.

I know I’ve been critical of lod but this would be a great setup to really see thier intake perform. The msd has had great success on the 6th gens but I havnt seen anyone with an all out NA motor like this use one

Well I used to when I got my motor look over the High compression racer engines from SAG performance/ custom engine supply, I would expect a all out tunnel ram engine with great flow to go north of 600 rear wheel hp with a .700 lift cam. Not exactly normal street used engine though.... http://www.sagperformance.com/custom-engines.html but hey once you get into racing it sets your wallet on fire...… https://www.ebay.com/itm/427-ALL-ALU...d=132420612265

If I won the lottery LOL I would go to these guys...they sell strokers and what ever on ebay also BTW and the machinist Jerry is nice and old school easy to talk too....

https://www.facebook.com/sagperformanceengines And yes you read about that engine on ebay its what I wish I had but the rear etc .....would not hold up …..LOL maybe not even in a built up zl1.... Crap a guy needs that engine its like so worthy and what a deal...SOB..SIGH...………. this is more of a engine that something like the long runners of the LOD should go on IMO...……..

Sweet setup!

Would you mind sharing your detailed setup? Springs, lifters, rockers..

Do you project to drive the car a bit with the .700 lift cam? Cam motion said to me .700 is ok with less than 1000miles/ year.

Thank you

I drive it about 3000 miles a year, and will be driving it to CFest this year. Here are a few of the parts used in the build.

Cam Motion – LS Premium Racing Solid Roller Lifters (I believe these are Johnson)
PAC 1238x Valve Spring Kit With Titanium Retainers - .750 Lift
Harland Sharp LS7 Rocker 1.8
Callies Performance Crankshaft
Diamond Pistons
Trend Performance 3/8" Pushrods
NW 102 Throttle Body
MSD Atomic intake Manifold
Mahle Rods (I think, I'd have to check the paperwork)

Just received an message from Ryan, looks like it made 590RWHP / 500TQ. I will post dyno sheet when I get it.

Here is the dyno sheet. Pretty good #'s for a plastic intake, it starts running out of breath. Ryan would really like to see this with the HiRam, but I don't want to cut the cowl. He thinks I would gain around 25-30hp with the LOD intake and shift peak to 7700, I will probably go that route when they get it finished.
