I don't like having to use my phone for door openers or even Android Auto/carplay. Same with the Nav System if I have the address in my contacts which are uploaded to my Nav system just select phone, contacts, name and the address is there and you just hit the address which is a very nice feature I might add. None of my other cars had this integration. Much easier to just reach up and push the button to open the door or listen to XM Sirius specially for short trips. Now if I am going to be driving for 30 mins or more than I will. Many more steps involved with the phone.

Millennials would rater use their phone for everything even if it takes longer. They have a love of those things. Pull out phone, enter security code, select app, scroll, raise WiFi enabled garage door. Me...... hit Homelink button.

Me, a millennial

More seriously, just because you don't share somebody else's concern, there is no need to lash out, it's better to try and understand. That's what I'm doing btw, I have a 2018 with homelink, so this decision of GM has zero impact on me.

Good to hear. If I had a '19 or later without Homelink, I would for sure want to add it.

If auto dimming mirrors still there.. that's better option to have across the line anyway.
1) Camaro is the 1st car to get a garage spot.

2) Every single time I drive my car I use home link to open and close the garage door.

3) I now have a garage door opener hanging from my visor.

At least one homelink button is needed.

Home Link on 19's

I actUally haven’t missed homelink at all even though I was sure I would.

I just have my old school garage clicker neatly stored where it’s easy to reach but can’t be seen - works perfectly for me.

No way I would have it on the visor - plenty of places you can fix it under the steering wheel etc

I honestly dont mind using my remote.....the way my garage is setup right now I have to have a physical remote to access it anyways (detached garage).

I guess I need to start looking for a better spot because the visor sucks.

Just one freaking button would have been nice. I never understood 3 but I did use them all once when it was set up to open and close the NPP.

I’ll push the button on my tiny almost invisible “fob” or soon we’ll all just say “open garage door” and be done with it.

Its one thing to pull them out of all your line (trucks, cars, min-vans) but only out of the Camaro, like i said before why kill it in the 6th gen, bad move IMO.
