If I understand correctly, the hood vents are a dealer-installed LPO option...not model/package specific...so I imagine you would be able to get one of whatever color vents they offer.

Im also not a huge fan of the totally black wrapped hood. I may remove, and color match it to the body color if needed along with the vents. Then lay out my own center stripe on the hood only, in a color similar to carbon flash like my C7 had.

Im either getting a white car or a blue one, have not decided yet.

Will the 1LE come with the new 6 speed from the ZL1? You don't need double overdrives for a track car. I don't currently own a Camaro, but I did own a 93SS & 98SS. Both 6 speeds, never saw a use for double overdrive. Looking to buy another Camaro this year and I really want the 1LE

It's the same TR6060 MM6 from the SS and previous SS 1LE.

1-3 are underdrive, 4th is 1:1 and 5-6 are overdrive.

They alluded to this, and haven't advertised anything from a differing transmission to even different ratios (which you'd think would be substantial information for a car designed for track duty)

So far, I haven't seen anything to indicate the 6th gen 1LE has a different trans than the SS.

It wouldn't be considered a "SS", I think too many wish for a diff type of Camaro.. But at the end of the day it remains as an "option" on a Camaro SS.

what ratios are better than these? 4 genfbody/C6Z/5th gen 1LE. seems like the combo to have?

the LT1 torque curve, weight difference, and shorter tire should make up for the 3.90 rear aswell, imo

What are you talking about?

The 5th gen 1LE has a different trans than the standard SS. Most people know the 1LE is an option package. Instead of typing SS 1LE every time, I just shorten it to 1LE and most people seem to know what I mean.

Don't forget, the new Gen6 1LE is also available with the V6, so this statement is no longer true for the new version.

Also, what do you mean by "The 5th gen 1LE has a different trans than the standard 1LE"? Did you mean "than the standard SS"?

True, so I guess we need to type LT 1LE and SS 1LE from now on.

Yes, I meant standard SS.

Technically 5th gen SS and SS 1LE have the same transmission, the difference is the gear ratios and rear 3.91.
