My polarized lenses just turn the HUD 80s electronic green, lol. Brightness is just fine...

How are you guys getting the windshield tinted? I can not find a place anywhere that will do it. Everyone says it is illegal.

I have a film on my windshield but is a heat shield, no tint at all. The film is for the excessive summer heat here in AZ not glare reduction. My HUD looks exactly the same.
The wife's Mazda CX-9 also has it and it does not affect the HUD.

I have 70% Xpel XR Plus on my windshield, I didn't do it for looks(it's basically clear anyway), I did it for the heat rejection(the perks of working for the only Xpel dealer in the area
 ).I cringe when my customers come in and get 35%, WAAAAY too dark for my liking, but that's the darkest we'll go for a customer, I've had customers come in wanting 20% which is f'in nuts lol. But to answer the question(even though it's already been answered) it doesn't affect the HUD.
