Saw the 19 Camaro refresh in the flesh.
We weren't allowed cameras in, but at GM dealer meeting we were shown the refresh and also told of the turbo Camaro coming, but no details on it.
Honestly, I would just about have to see an 18 and 19 together to tell the difference. Grill change, bolder with bolder mesh, headlights and taillights little different, and change to the hood bulge. I have a Hot Wheels Edition building this next week, and am not at all let down that I'm not getting the refreshed car. Just wish we could get a limited run of special colors a few times a year. Anyone wish they had a Camaro in the true C7R Corvette yellow jewel paint? Or maybe a true "hugger orange"? Googled images of 1972 Chevelle SS tonight and was just cruising through all the unique color combos they had. When you ordered a car then it was truly unique and "yours". I do appreciate the heck out of GM for bringing the Camaro back to us in 2010 though. IT HAULS ASS!!!!(Super Chevy just reprinted an article on the '74 Camaro Z/28.11.5 mpg and qtr mile in 15.31!!!) We're so lucky!!!! I have a vid of a Chevelle vs 2017 Camaro on Youtube. Check it out. |

Are you talking about a 4cyl turbo or v6 turbo?

New medium blue, kinda drab and convertible was silver. Don't know if they just put a 1LE pkg on a 2.0 or if there's a better 6 cyl entry level car coming.

A turbo V6 would be awesome but it would easily push it into SS Territory as far as performance is concerned.. Wondering how they intend on addressing that?

I'm guessing the blue replaces hyper. That's one of the best colors ever!!! Headlights are not that different but have the hockey stick LED. Taillights were just a little different and more of a 3D effect.Diddn't get to see the interior though. Forgot to mention the flo tie air flow bowtie. It's an open spaced area the shape of the bowtie. Would be cool to be the designer who came up with that. Not a big deal, but way cool!!!
The thread of the spy shot on the proving grounds of the ZL1 front end pretty well shows the look. But the mesh blended slightly into the top grill, and it had the flowtie. The new hood looks like the ZL1 without the "dive " part at the front. Not a big change, but a baby step forward. |

Yeah I would really love to see what this new blue looks like, because it can't get much better than the current Hyper Blue. Hopefully, it's an addition and not a replacement.
