Fix-a-flat, etc destroys TPMS?

Is this true? I was told if you have a flat (on non-run flats obviously) and use something like fix-a-flat to patch the tire, it will destroy the TPMS for that wheel. And those are NOT a cheap replacement.

1) Check the packaging of any tire sealant you use. Some are specifically formulated to se safe for TPMS sensors

2) TPMS sensors are not overly expensive. You can get 4 for around $50-60.
