Non-NPP vs. Stealth mode?

I haven't purchased yet and as much as I want a loud exhaust, I leave home early in the mornings and so to avoid waking kids in the roof above the garage and disturbing neighbors wanted to check if Stealth mode with NPP is quieter starting up than non-NPP?

Appreciate the irony but I'm almost more interested in NPP to have the option to make it quieter (will love it loud once I'm out on the road)!

cheers,
Pete.

Yes, I have LTs going through the NPP suitcase. On the street I am in full time stealth mode and the start up is not too bad. In any standard setting the LT start up wakes the dead. Fun at the track, but not at home.

Without LTs the startup is still loud in any setting as I remember.

NPP stealth is definitely quieter than a stock SS exhaust from my experience.

Many thanks - looks like NPP (either factory or equivalent aftermarket) will be required with the stock exhaust not being stealthy enough when I need it to be...

Npp stealth makes it hard to even tell it's a V8 under the hood.

My experience is NPP is loud when first started no matter what mode. However I have not tried stealth.

Stealth is the only mode that keeps the valves closed at startup. You're right, all other modes leave them open. You do have to go into stealth mode before turning the car off, I haven't found a way to change modes after the car has been turned off... that's annoying to be honest.

Hold the start button for 5 seconds without putting your foot on the brake. The car will not start but all the electronics will turn on. You can then navigate into the Engine Sound Management and put it on Stealth. Then just put foot on brake and press start again to start the car in stealth mode.

I should really read the manual, huh...

Don't think it's in there. Service mode might be but not the trick to getting a stealth startup.

All you have to do is turn the ignition on(press start with foot off the brake) and set the drive mode to snow/ice and it sets the exhaust to stealth mode.

When in stealth the car still opens valves when you shut it down right? I know my car when in stealth mode when I shut it off the valves open up. But when I start it up it sorta starts loud then valves close, after about 1 second.
