My Spoiler Swap - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

For the latest Mod I did on my car I decided to change ny spoiler. I liked the look of a full spoiler better then the one that the coupe comes with and had been looking for a better replacement, when the convertable came out I found my replacement. I was able to aquire a convertable spoiler with the help of 2SSRS (Ofer), the only problem was that it was blavk and I wanted it to match the color of my car (Red Jewel Tint).

The Rally Stripes on the trunk lid and spoiler did not come out exzctly like I wanted the to, and the place that did the vinal stripes had trouble actually doing the stripes. I had wanted the srtipes to have the pinstriping to wrap around the back edge of the spoiler like they did on top of the original spoiler, except no matter how hard it was tried, they kept getting it wrong. So I finally had to settle for the way the stripes look now on the spoiler. At a later date I plan to have the stripes painted on the whole car, at that time I will extend the stripes forward on the nose/front and have the back done the way I have wanted them to look from the start. The vinal guys could not get the vinal to handle all the angels of the spoiler (it took them 8 attempts to get it to look like this).

Yes, the vert spoiler is better looking in my opinion. I was lucky enough to find a RJT vert spoiler and installed it many months ago. It's amazing the factory color match, my buddy is a custom painter and even he couldn't tell the difference of the RJT on my car which is at least 1 1/2 years older than the RJT vert spoiler I installed.
