Does anyone have any input on something like this?
Bridgestone are the heaviest tires out there. Lots of heavy unsprung weight. Just the facts.

For example, for ZL1 1LE you’d be much better off on RE71R in 305/30/19 square and non 1LE 295/30/20 square (largest tread widths in both diameters), vs R888R in 305f/325r. RE71R have more grip and tread for rain than even PSC2 and cost much less. R888R are slow to heat up, and quick to overheat and get greasy.

If you want the best DOT R comps for circuit and money not an issue get Hoosier R7, you will be amazed by the grip in your first track day. For non DOT get Pirelli DH new or take-offs.

Only good thing about R888 is they last and the old ones were a decent wet track tire.

My track-only tire order of preference for ZL1 1LE based on cost, performance and longevity...
Pirelli DH take-off
Hoosier R7/A7 take-off
New Goodyear 3R
New RE71R in 305 square (should fit 12” rear rim)
Nitto NT01
New Hoosier R7 ($$)
New Pirelli DH ($$)
New PSC2

Unfortunately several good DOT slicks and semi slicks are not available in diameters over 18”, like the Hankook TD and BFG R1S
Thank you for the great info!

Thanks for the input, gents!

I was leaning toward the PS4.

LS Fest won't let you have anything less than a 200 treadwear.

I do know someone who said that he was going to get them on his ZL1 1LE after I suggested them but, I never did receive any feedback from him. I can ask.
What would be your drug of choice for something 200+?

PS4?

BTW, local dealer here informed me that CUP2 doesn't come in (285-30-20) for front!

I’m using them, very sticky when warm (takes more time than GYs), but at the track after 5 laps (starting with 1,9 and working fine until reach 2,4-2,5 bur after the 5th lap starts with 2,6-2,7-2,8...), you have to pit and down the pressure or the tire will be destroyed in a few more laps.

Seems lot of weight for the tires, even using Audi and MB codes (didn’t try with Porsche or Ferrari ones, “skinnies” cars).

This tire in OEM sizes or, the RE71R in a square set up.

I take this back. Looks like those tires are lightweight. Good to see.
