It looks like the A10 will only be available on the '19 SS....Not sure if it's optional over the A8 or if it's the only auto available for the SS...

It doesn't specifically spell it out, but I'm sure the A10 has replaced the A8 in the SS trim based on the press release.

It does appear no MY18 cars have had the issue (yet). So they may have finally solved the root cause of the issue.

I hope so, but can see where Al/GM might not want to answer.

I don’t have any issues, but would like to know if anything that can be done to prevent issues, etc. An ounce of prevention vs a pound of cure...

Install a range or diablo sprint to prevent it from going into 4 cyl mode for less than $200.

Pretty sure the mods had conversations with Al long before the question was asked, giving him a heads up that it may eventually be asked, and he accepted it. So don't worry, it'll get answered. See confirmation below:

That is not going to stop the problem, probably just delay it until the warranty is out. Once the issue gets bad enough, the shudder is present in V8 mode as well. Now if you did that from day 1 with the car, might have a better chance.

Yes that’s the idea. Either day 1 or after having it repaired.
