DIC and MY link? Am I the only One? Over Whelmend
I have the same screen on my DIC and MY link that came with the Car... I'm scared to death to go into my link or DIC screens and end up some place and not know How to get back to what I have :( I spent an Hour reading the manual and was more lost and scared of touching anything then before. The sales person and dealership of course didn't have the time to sit and help! They are there to sell cars and fix broken parts...... :(((( :sad 0147:

Do you have the same problem with your cell phone? Too many selections? I suggest you go over to the regional forum where you're at and ask for someone to come over and help you. It doesn't sound like you'll be able to get it yourself if you read the manual and you still don't understand it. I would go sit in the car with the manual and when you read that there's a selection, go find it and toggle it on or off. It's really not that hard.

You know how Bill Gates and Steve Jobs got SOOO good at computer software and hardware development?
They just did it. Took a chance. Realized that no matter what, it won't be the end of the world and you'll always be able to find your way back. It'll be ok. I promise. Take a chance. There's always the back button. |

Mine has a "home" button below the screen. No matter what I do I can push that button and it takes me back to the home screen.

Nothing can be changed in the menus that will harm the car as long as you don't put in "Code zero zero zero. Destruct. Zero." <-- That will implode the warp core.

Thankfully it gives a countdown.
I hate when it says 'resistance is futile'. |

Generally...the interfaces they've put in the car are pretty intuitive...spend more time clicking buttons, and the more familiar you will get. I can tell you one thing that might be helpful - if you do get lost in a screen...we're all here to help get you back. |

Don't be scared. Only way to get over your fear is to make an effort to learn. Even if you're a slow learner like me, you'll pick everything up fairly quickly. Home screen button is your friend.

There is no reason not to have at it but been told to dive in already so I'll skip that part. I would add don't get all frisky and decide you want to menu dive while driving. Do it in the garage, don't forget to bring a beer/wine/booze and the manual.

Spend some time with your service manual...that's why they give you one.
