'23 LT1 oil question

If this topic has been beaten to death, shame on me for not finding it.

Here goes. Just bought a 23 LT1 with 10k miles on it from a dealership. Oil looks like it was just changed, clean and correct level.
Cap says 0 40. I'm very familiar with this oil. My 19 Z06 uses the 0 40 ESP (now name changed to 0 40 Supercar). I have used the 0 40 Supercar in my vette since day 1. Expensive, but I change it once a year, so no problem. I plan on driving the LT1 much more than my vette. Can I use the 5 30 Mobil1 full synthetic that is much more friendly to my wallet? Or bite the bullet and double up on my 0 40 Supercar purchases and be happy with my exxon stock performance?

Thanks

You can use 5w-30 as long as you aren’t taking it on the road course. I’m 99% sure your manual will also state that as well.

My 22 manual still says 5w30 dexos 1 is ok for street use. I believe the owners manual changed for 23 or 24 and says nothing about 5w30. Even if it doesn't, the LT1 original fill was 5w30 wasn't it? You can search on here and find what others including myself have already said. I am not one to believe that all of a sudden your LT1 will have issues by using 5w30 dexos 1. I'll be doing my first oil change in spring. I'm leaning towards 5w30 dexos 1. It's a street car that will see fun at the strip once or twice a year with some spirited driving. IMO that falls under street use. Uh oh, I done it now!

That's my planned use too, so I think the 5 30 will do just fine. Who knows what the GM dealer puts in it for those who have the dealership change their oil.
That said, I put about 2k miles a season on my vette. 700+ at the crank, so I do a lot of "spirited driving". Personal observation; that 0 40 comes out every spring almost the same color it went in the previous spring. The 5 30 on the other hand looks the same dark color at 1k miles as it does at 7k miles.
Good? Bad? Indifferent? I don't know, but just my observation.

An FYI, the OLM can't handle time sitting on these. I changed the oil, reset the OLM, started my SS 10 days later, and it immediately dropped to 92%.

Supposed to be good if it's driven daily from what other people say

It's definitely still in the 2023 one.

I see. Probably explains why my OLM went down over 20% over winter so far. I still never get to around zero, and oil does degrade from sitting for months in the engine, so I'm ok with that

Thank you much SS. I haven’t had the time to crack open the manual yet. But that’s what I wanted to know.

How long before we see some of the Dexos 2 oils magically change to Dexos R over night? That's what happened with the Mobil One esp 0w40 after GM waved its magic wand. That owners manual SS posted speaks of a 5w30 dexos R which does not exist....YET. Only Dexos R available is 0w40 and 5w50 supercar.

The only dexosR oils are Mobil1 SuperCar 0W-40 and 5W-50, Mobil1 ESP Formula and ESP x3 are dexos2 oils...

A note on the dexosR page: "Please note: GM dexos R engine oils meet or exceed the performance of GM dexos 2 and GM dexos 1 Gen 2 and Gen 3 oils and are backward compatible, therefore vehicles equipped with gasoline engines that used GM dexos 2, or GM dexos 1 Gen 2 or Gen 3 may use a GM dexos R licensed engine oil of the appropriate viscosity grade at their next oil change."
