I don't think it's saving any weight from the post I saw, haha. Like all the mechanics were in there.

Take it to the track and try again. Complaints will be tempered! It's a street legal race car with lots of creature comforts, not a touring coupe.

The ZL1 1LE has a seat back that is thinner and you have to crawl in the trunk to release the latch - not easy or fun but I like to leave mine down its louder.
I bet GM made it that way so people would not use it and complain about the extra noise.
