Question Front cradle / subframe lightweighting

Hello,

I am curious of what other people have done to the factory front cradle / subframe to take weight out of it.

I see this thread for one for sale:
https://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=334951

I also came across this image on Facebook:

My question is, for those who took the front cross member off in front of the radiator, how well does the front bumper stay in without the 2 10mm bolts at the bottom?

Thanks!

The front crash bar? Mines off and the bumper is fine.

No, I did not mention the crash bar in my post. This is not about that.

I'm sure lots of weight could be cut with tubular front and rear cradles. Wish the aftermarket would catch up.

We tried, but we couldn't make at the Price Point we wanted and it was going to have to Ship Truck Freight

I wonder if there's a way to make the aluminum 6th gen cradle fit?

Depending on features and weight savings that wouldnt bother me. Front and rear cradle options would be worth saving money for on my end imo. I'm sure it would be cheaper than me buying a bender, dies, material and learning to mess it up all by myself.
