Thanks for the DIY. Installed today.

Couple notes:
1. Fishing the harness through to the passenger side took longer then it should have. Need coat hanger or similar. And fish right above the knee pads - not back towards the firewall.
2. The glue that holds down the door seal is pretty sticky - have to be careful not to touch.
3. If planning to install sill protective film - do it before installing.

Thumbs up

I just finished up the sill plate install...A straight forward procedure with all the tips in this thread... Thanks to everyone who contributed..
There was plenty of length to the factory wire harness and I sent it through the console area near the knee pads as suggested..Only took about 1 minute to get it through there with a 2ft section of hard copper wire as the fish...
And you were correct, the door seal's hog snot is a mess and strung out quite a bit..I didn't want that getting on anything in there..

Thanks for the tips on this post, Hyper. I swapped them out this weekend and they look great!

Sorry for the dumb question but, after you cut the gray wire, do you have to strip the ends? I don’t know what the “recommended service technique” is. Can I just plug in the clipped ends and crimp?
Thanks
