QUICKJACK

Has anyone bought the quickjack system for thier Camaro? If so what model did you buy? I don't understand how they say to measure the vehicle. All I need to know is what model did you buy. Thanks to all that have the knowledge for this.

I purchased the BL-7000SLX. I thought it was worth spending the money for the one that could handle the most weight in case I needed to use it on something heavier. I often wonder if I should have gotten the longer one also.

I have the BL-5000SLX.
Can't imagine doing all of the extensive Chassis and exhaust work I did without it. A few key points however - it does NOT like to be cycled repeatably and stopped with the load still on the hydraulics (instructions say cycle it all the way to one of the lockouts and release the load to the stops). I found this out by having to replace one of the valves in the power unit after it failed when I was adjusting my coil-overs. My car tipped sideways almost to 45 degrees and scared the living crap out of me! Quick Jack sent me a free replacement part.
Also - another lesson learned: I don't think coil-overs or Varishocks like being unsprung for long periods of time. I stored my Trans Am all winter on my Quick Jack, and both rear Varishock Single Dial Adjustable Shocks puked their Hydraulic guts when I drove it. Obviously a seal issue in the shock, not sure if it is just that the Varishocks are crap, or don't like being unsprung for long periods of time. $400 down the drain - wonder f they are rebuildable?

I bought the BL-7000 as well, mainly because I also wanted to use it for my Chevy truck as well (hence the additional lift capability). Love it, makes under car work a breeze. Takes about 10 minutes to get the two jacks set up and the car up, but once done, it's a stand alone system. Quality is great, and set up is easy. If you're short on overhead space in your garage, or just want a lift system that you can move around the garage, it's great.

I would have been super ijnterested in these if they had 6" to a foot more of lift, but i feel like they are just a little too low for the money when you can get a 2 post lift for ~$1,000 more

I think that's where the niche is for these. For people who just don't have the height in their garage for that 2-post

I bought the same one for the same reasons.

If it were me, I'd pick up some jack pads from zl1addons, them measure the distance from the front pinch weld jacking pint to the rear pinch weld jacking point and choose the quickjack that can span that distance.

But that's just me.

This was exactly it for me. There are some specialty, removable 2-post lifts, but just wasn't the best solution for me. I still have to get on my back to do most jobs, but when fully lifted, there's a ton of room for any job. Got it up in about 10 minutes yesterday morning before a drive to check on an oil leak at the aux cooler lines. Made the job super easy.

I've been waiting for a sale on one of these for a while, jumped on the 5000 for $1050 today at home depot. I was going to wait to see if Costco was going to blow them out again this year but apparently they're limiting their sales to avoid crowds due to covid. stoked regardless if they could be found cheaper!

I would highly suggest if going with the 5000 series to get the 5000ext version. The standard is on the short side when used on these cars.

thanks, I will take that advice and buy the slx extension add on kit I was looking at.... figured it would be cheaper to buy that then paying full price on the 5000ext. the kit adds 1.5” of height too.

I just got the 7000SLX from Costco and it works well. Yes, the EXT would've been a nice to have but I also wanted it to work on smaller vehicles and
my crew cab truck.
I bought the extension add on from Home Depot over the weekend (it was on sale too with free shipping).
