I haven't experienced any of those issues on any of my camaro's and Trans am's I've owned over the years. This must be an old article because these car's haven't had T-tops since 2002. The author is misinformed. Thanks for the read though!

Raised chip key? Um... That was the third and 4th gen cars. The fifth gen didn't have the little raised chip in the key face... And the 6th gen doesn't use a key at all as it is push button. Where the F did they get their information?

Per consumer reports the main issues are: paint finish, electronics, and of course the tq.

It's a bogus, hodgepodge, copy and paste low quality filler, the author did no research whatsoever. Just like those "the Camaro's/Corvette's/Challenger's fatal FLAW" videos on youtube.

I am on my second Gen 6 now a 2016, V6, M6. I bought it slightly used with only 6K on it. No issues at all. I previously had a 2017 RS I bought brand new. It had the A8 and I had nothing but problems with shudder, slipping transmission, etc. So the "TQ" is a big one to watch out for- especially in the 2016-2018 models with the A8.

Agree JT58. I bought my 2018 ZL1 M6 exactly 2 years ago this week. I have 16134 mile on her with Zero issues.

Is it just me or is the metal on this really thin? I had a pine cone fall out of a tree and leave a small dent in the trunk. A freaking pine cone? That NEVER happened with my 5th Gen.

My neighbor has a 2013 Hot Wheels SS and a couple of acorns left visible dents in the sheet metal. His PDR guy made quick work of it, but that makes me think the 5th gen wasn't that much better.
