I’m sure there are some good guys on the corvette forum, but man there are some real tool bags over there as well lol. I was just poking around looking at zr1 info and read a whole bunch of Dbag responses! Glad to be on here with the this crew.

Yep. It can be hardcore. Priceless info, but tread lightly..

Definitely nicer here.

Cranky old guys but very helpful. I was on a welding site and talk about “tools”. I posted a pic of some railroad rails and estimated the weight at about 4,000 lbs and had a two pager of opinions of various rail weights and how can my truck handle that amount of weight. I stupidly made a comment about “good ol US trucks” which lead to another two pager of where Ford, Chev, Dodge, and Toyota trucks are made. Geeeese

There are definitely some great people on this site. There can be some very spirited debate and disagreements, which I believe is a really positive thing, ["In the course of human events"(TJ AD1776)]. Most here are able to agree to disagree. Most can draw a positive response to their questions and concerns, from some genuinely helpful individuals. All of us have a "passion" (, We all love Miss Becky) for Chevrolet and The Camaro. That's what drew us to the site. There are very few haters and better than you types; some people are just plain ol' mean. That's OK too.

I've never been a social media guy, I value my privacy. With that said; I have made some great connections and established some real friendships here.

I love me some Camaro6!

Sorry for the rant...Just my $0.02

If you think that's bad, look in the Politics and Religion section.

There are quite a few good guys on the Corvette forum. They have a lot of knowledge and there doesn't seem to be a problem that can't be solved or that someone hasn't tackled before.

However, there are so many guys on the site, that there are bound to be a few jerks. But don't ask if a 160 degree thermostat is a good mod, or how to keep your clutch fluid clean.

99% Douchebags over there for sure. They let it be over run with a bunch of divorced, Viagra and alcohol abusing facebook drama queens. I was on there for 16 years before I had enough and quit taking crap off the douchebags. The mods have favorites and quickly overlooked my 16 years of good conduct and permabanned me. I am glad for it.

Weird. I never had any problems with the Vette Forums. But, then again, I don't ever take things personally so. I just laugh of some of the douchery. I always take forums for what they are. Mostly keyboard warriors. It goes on in here too, but in person, I doubt those same people would say half the shit they say in person so. It's the net. Take it with a grain of salt honestly. If you think forums are bad, imagine Yahoo chat rooms back 15 years ago.

Although, I rarely stumble upon threads like "My girlfriend pissed on my passenger seat and I cant get the stain out" on corvetteforum.

I usually look at a few car forums over my lunch break and think the corvette forum is near the bottom in terms of how people treat each other.

My ranking:

1. Hellcat Forum
2. Camaro6
3. Corvette C7 Forum
4. Mustang6g

I came to Camaro 6 from the Corvette Forum as I got out of a 03 Z06 into my ZL1. Just my opinion but people in the C5 forum seemed really helpful towards each other where as the C7 forum seemed full of piss and vinegar.

The older the gen the less asshats lol
