You dont have to fully mash the brake pedal, only enough to complete the sensor circuit. Also you can hold the start button down and it will turn on the car systems as long as the battery has enough voltage.
The problem will be if the battery has enough of a charge to run the systems while the ECM turns on the charging circuit.

I had to run out to check this. My 2018 only requires the clutch pedal to start.

They must have changed it with the 2019 updates. I suppose if I really wanted to I could just Hotwire the brake pedal switch.
