I was considering (for a short time) getting the 2nd Gen OEM Ground Effects on my 2020 2SS, but the front splitter stuck out so far the FIRST thing I thought of is "some prick is going to step on that in a parking lot somewhere..."
Needless to say, I passed on the ground effects... Sorry that it happened to you, some people are just losers and can't leave other's property alone out of sheer jealousy...

Sorry to hear this. Haters suck! You work your as* off for something and some jerk who doesn't pulls crap like this.
I have family in Macon and Milledgeville, most folk in GA. are great people. Stay positive. Best of luck. It's basically a flesh wound. Your insurance will cover it.

I "coned" mine at my first autoX. The replacements from GM are surprislingly reasonable. I've been driving around with it in my trunk for a year now. Seems like it will be somewhat difficult to remove the damaged one and install the fresh one. I want to do it but don't really have the time so for now, it's a battle scar. Goes nicely with the cone rash in front of the rear wheels on both sides. :-)

https://www.thatgmpartsguy.com/oem-p...r-nut-11547341 The first is the canard, second are the retaining clips. Just went through this myself... Very reasonably priced.. |

It's true, I can only imagine what it's like driving a very expensive car like a Ferrari or McLaren. If a ZL1 brings out that kind of hate, exotics must make haters insane and the cost and hassle of damage to cars like that is so much worse. If you own a car like that, you should be rich enough to have someone else handle it :-)

Its terrible that you cant have nice things and that people are going to be jealous. hope you get it fixed ok.
Just broke the one on the right side of my car this weekend at a track day. Odd but I came in and it was only held on by the one lower clip. Seems the retainers somehow came off. I was running over some curbs quite a bit so that may have done it. Thanks for the links Last edited by Snakebt6; 06-23-2020 at 08:43 AM. |

I also met a guy at a car show once who had a low mile 67 Camaro that was an all original car (interior, paint, everything). He walked away from the car just long enough to check some of the other interesting cars at the meet and when he came back someone had keyed the 67 from frontend to rearend down the drivers side. It was sickening. Sorry you encountered the worst of society with your car damage. Haters gonna hate. Last edited by CW3SF; 06-22-2020 at 12:16 PM. |

Somebody stomped my canards and broke them over the weekend. They also dented where the bumper meets the fender. Pretty pissed but at least canards are somewhat cheap.

you can get the retainers from LB Auto Parts for $11 for a pack of 10 (pn 11547341)
they are used in several places on the car

Gotta do my plug for canard removal - https://youtu.be/6NpcQ-29UyA
I like that the clips were mentioned in previous posts, they tend to go missing after the canard breaks. And that damage looks more like a car smash than it does a stomp. That sucks.
