Yes I know Dave, but the Op is saying that GM should lower the regular pricing of them so they are cheaper to buy!

Lowering the price of a new Z will kill the value of used Zs big time. They are priced right. Least expensive low 11s car and track killer you can buy at this time. Literally the best bang for buck

I think the price is reasonable. It's the best looking (to me), has the best lap times, the lowest price of the 3 major players, and by and by is more reliable than it's Dodge counterpart. The Ford durability has yet to be proven, but the regular 5.0 GT driveline is trash.

Is it an annual thing? From what I hear, sales are slumping for the Camaro, and I’m sure with the GT500 hitting the market, ZL1 sales are probably effected as well. If that’s the case, standard ZL1’s should go for under $50k which I don’t think I’d be able to resist.

Yes pauly, I agree with your reply! New will never be below $60,000 in my opinion! Technology and high hp cost a lot!

Look at the post I quoted. $20k discount on sticker would put it under $50k. I believe they ran a 20% off MSRP incentive last year. A little more bartering and you could probably get it close to $50k. Time will tell ... hoping the introduction of the new GT500 pushes GM to run the sale again this year.

Sadly, a quick look on cargurus showed they are already below $60K brand new. I say sadly because it's such a great car, even though it is great for the buyer it is worth so much more than that!

As one mentioned, I don't think many people ever cross shopped for the Stingray and a ZL1.

Also, as one mentioned, a base model stingray with absolutely no thrills or bells and whistles (not even the Z51 package) may beat the ZL1 in 0-60, but not the 1/4 mile. Also, still no word on track times. But it is unlikely to beat the ZL1 there either

I just don't see this being a valid point for multiple reasons. Different cars completely.. and the Z06 will likely MSRP for 100k minimum

73k is a lot for a "camaro" compared to a "corvette" for most laypeople, you dont see many 1LEs out there not because they're "collectible" most dont want to compromise on the ride, the back seats pretty small and most people who have kids that young cant buy a camaro because their "wife wont let them" Im just saying a 10k price cut would move more cars at at time when Camaro sales are hurting, we are blind because we love the car

Mine is a ZLE, so it was 53k. But it was also a sale that the dealer lost money on. 57-58k was the best I was finding elsewhere. I've done business with this dealer before and the owner was using the car occasionally so it had 700 miles or so on it. They knew they couldn't get the same as a car with 15 miles on it.

On the flip side they also gave me more for my SS1LE in trade than any other dealer offered by thousands which was a nice bonus.

And I'd expect to see 15% on leftover 19s if there are any in March/April. Thanks to the strike it's possible that inventory might be too low to bother discounting them this year.
