Paid $110 for mine and my son's Mustang and mine was the 0W-40 dextos. Autozone, I can scan the receipt but my laziness is overwhelming.

EDIT: Maybe an anomaly I have only changed it once. I will be doing it again in the spring and will report back.

I change mine when it's about 30%. It usually equates to about 4500-5000 miles, 2X a year. I don't usually go more than that. My Camaro takes only 6 quarts and I get my oil filters from Rock auto so it doesn't really cost that much to change it.

Don't believe Autozone sells any dexos2 oil... Might want to check the bottles. The Mobil 1 European Car Formula is -not- dexos2.

Around here Mobil 1 0-40 Dexos 2 is only at dealerships, or online. No stores have it

The OLM seems to be pretty smart. Mine went from 100% to zero in just four track days, or about 500 miles. I'd trust what it says.

I agree with early changes right after the break-in period. In fact, the track prep manual tells one to change the oil at 500 miles.

I did have the first 2 oil changes happen early due to the amount of metal particles in the engine during break-in. I can see some small bits on the dipstick. They are all gone at this point, and so I won't be worrying about it.

Nope, Owner's Manual mentions that one should ignore the OLM for track use, and should follow track hours.

I only put 2000-5000 miles/year on so change once per year. Interestingly, on these cars, if you put 0 miles on them in 1 year, your oil life will still go to zero. My Silverado doesn't do that.

I tend to agree with that especially if you don’t track your Camaro!

Dip your oil and have it tested. Then you will know. Most oil companies have a free/low charge program for this service

This is from my 2011 manual...

Engine Oil Life System
When to Change Engine Oil
This vehicle has a computer system
that indicates when to change the
engine oil and filter. This is based
on engine revolutions and engine
temperature, and not on mileage.
Based on driving conditions, the
mileage at which an oil change is
indicated can vary considerably.
For the oil life system to work
properly, the system must be reset
every time the oil is changed.
When the system has calculated
that oil life has been diminished,
it indicates that an oil change is
necessary. A CHANGE ENGINE
OIL SOON message comes on.
See Engine Oil Messages on
page 5‑36. Change the oil as soon
as possible within the next 1 000 km
(600 miles). It is possible that,
if driving under the best conditions,
the oil life system might indicate
that an oil change is not necessary
for up to a year. The engine oil and
filter must be changed at least once
a year and, at this time, the system
must be reset.
Your dealer has
trained service people who will
perform this work and reset the
system. It is also important to check
the oil regularly over the course of
an oil drain interval and keep it at
the proper level.
If the system is ever reset
accidentally, the oil must be
changed at 5 000 km (3,000 miles)
since the last oil change.
Remember to reset the oil life
system whenever the oil is changed

And this is from my '17 Impala...

One thing I haven't seen mentioned, for you guys who have to put your car away for the winter. One recommendation that applies for cars and boats is to not put the engine in storage with dirty oil. One of the byproducts of combustion is that acids can build up in the oil. Moisture also if not warmed up sufficiently. You don't want your bearings and smooth surfaces soaking in acids all winter. Cheap insurance to change before it goes into storage.
