ZL1 1LE Dark Tail Lights

Anyone have a set of dark tail lights that they want to sell or know where I can get them? ACS has them but they want $700, which is crazy.

Thanks

I will keep an eye out for ya!

I had mine sprayed (dark tint) along with my third brake light, side marker lights and the 2 reflectors on the rear valance. The shop that did mine take them out, prep, spray the dark tint, then clear. Looks awesome!!

They were discontinued last year, people are scalping them on eBay for $1100. I would think GM would hold back inventory for warranty and accident repair, get friendly with your dealer parts person. https://www.ebay.com/itm/2016-2018-6...AAAOSwPCVX2ubH

Sounds like what’s going on with the new 3000 series video cards right now.

I almost pulled the trigger on a 3080 a few weeks ago at a computer place I buy from & they had several in stock. A week or so later they are all gone. A dev made a crawler to scour the web & I was watching a live feed yesterday & the only ones popping up were on Amazon for over double the price for what retail is supposed to be.

I don’t think it helps that bitcoin is on the rise again.

Like others have said, I can’t imagine them being discontinued. There needs to be a supply for crash repair and warranty work. I can see them being on back order. The pandemic has played havoc with the supply of a lot of auto parts.

Can you buy the lights individually? I see options online to buy part #s 84136775 & 84136776. I believe the number for the entire set is 84136777, which is discontinued. Can someone confirm that these two numbers are for the dark tail lamps?

Those are the part numbers, good job SSallday as that would be how they are sold to body shops and warranty individually and not as a set.

I knew they couldn’t discontinue a part like that. It makes total sense. I would imagine that in most warranty cases, you are going to have an issue with only one light. GM probably doesn’t want to send you an entire set if only one light is malfunctioning

I emailed them last week and was told that they are no longer available. Some sites are still listing them, even though they don’t have them. I’m going to see if they can match the price of the paired lights. Buying them individually is over $100 more
