Anyone swapped out their M6 shift knobs?

I'm looking to switch the shift knob off my car, but wanted to know if there's a specific size shift knob I'm suppose to look for? I've never swapped out a knob, so I have no clue where to start and I cant use the search on here for some reason. I like some of the carbon fiber stick knobs and want to throw one on, but have no idea of the kind of size I should be looking for and stuff lol. Any help would be appreciated.

They don't screw on like old shift knobs, but a couple places make the adapters to fit OEM.
A couple are Barton and Speed Dawg, you can google them.

Or get a Hurst short throw shifter and you can add any 9/16x18 screw on knob you want...

If anyone with an M6 wants to get rid of their shift knob, I'm looking for a spare. As long as the top isnt all scratched and gouged.

Hey, if you're still looking for one in about two weeks, hit me up.. I should have my replaced by then. It's clean with only like 3k miles of driving.

Curious what you're replacing with. Thought about going with a short throw shifter, but can't find one I really love enough on sight to just do it.

I was not a fan of the suede knob on my 1LE but found replace the options were non existent until this....

Got mine a couple weeks ago and I LOVE IT! Install was easy, parts were machined perfectly, and it feels perfect in my hand.

Just going to replace it with a short shifter and change the knob later.

I recommend Speed Dawg, I bought a Hurst ball shift knob from there. Packaging was great and shipping took less than a week. I'm not sure what it takes to swap out the knob on a '16, However the one on my '99 truck was just a screw on.

I heard our Camaros aren't just a simple screw on unfortunately, so if I'm going to go through all this hassle, I might as well get a short shifter that I can just screw on different knobs when I'm bored of them haha. I'll check out Speed Dawg then, thanks man!

I would've already put a short throw in mine if it wasn't so much work to put in. You have to drop the whole transmission to put it in right? I was watching videos of installation guides and as soon as I saw that I moved on to other mods haha. Definitely one for in the future though.
