If I hadn't just bought the Camaro, I'd have my eyes on these.

If I do hit the lotto or come into a few quid before the production run ends, one will be in my garage.

This is proof there's still signs of life at General Motors. Albeit it on a pacemaker.

I read that cap on the shift knob is the first mass produced car part from a major manufacturer fabricated entirely on a 3D printer.

"25 percent...
The expected take rate on the CT5's manual is as high as 25 percent, according to product marketing manager Ken Kornas. Cadillac says these Blackwings are the company's most track-capable models ever, and that means something coming from a nearly two-decade line of Nürburgring-honed missiles."

These may be the last of their kind with a manual trans....Still, the vast majority bought will be automatics. It's nice they build it with a manual, but don't look for a surge in popularity of manuals over automatics.

25% is still HUGE in the overall take rate of manuals. For the last 20 years overall it's been between 5-10% and in the last couple years it dipped to about 2%.

Meanwhile the idiots running the Corvette program cancelled the manual over a 35% take rate on the C7. They deserved to be slapped around a few times.

I don't think the Corvette program is too worried about the manual drivers they may have lost as this new Vette is selling above their expectations.

Like the long gone SS

Even $60K - that would be a killer sedan. They won't likely make it.

Nice! I'm not a huge fan of Cadillac, but this will likely be on my radar in a few years (when I can get a lightly used one). You'll likely be able to save a good chunk of money with these.

35% is probably an older number.

Tadge said at the C8 launch it was down to 15%. In the linked article he said at that low volume they couldn't find anyone willing to develop a manual for the C8.

And having worked closely with what is still the Corvette team, they are not idiots.

Same here. Nice cars but I've got my manual trans Camaro for the track and an Impala with more passenger cabin and trunk room than any Cadillac they make now.

Caddies have one of the worst depreciation rates. Look for half price or less in 2-3 years from now. Good luck.

If I could relegate myself to being a Caddy guy, I'd be really interested. 660hp+, 10spd auto, and a usable back seat? That'd be interesting. I do like the previous gen's styling a bit more, personally.

Very pricey, but I need this gem in my life. I'll take this over a C8 no questions asked.
Well...its no 76' Eldorado, but not bad. Would look a hell of a lot better if it a had a rear deck instead of 3" ledge to hold a can of beer.

It's the first and second year, of course it's selling like hot cakes. That's true for every generation of Corvette.

Give it a few years, we will see what happens then.
