Sudden stall with no error codes?
So I was sitting at a red light getting ready to make a right turn, had clutch turn in, trans in 1st gear and right as I was getting ready to go the car suddenly just shut down. All the power was still on, but the engine just stalled out randomly.
I didn't get any error codes or anything and it started right back up without any issues. The car has msd intake, msd 2step controller, cai intake filter, headers, e85 tune, cat delete Any ideas where to troubleshoot? About a week or 2 ago, on start up, I got a massive misfire --- to the point the whole car was jumping and shaking around. Again, shut it down and on restart everything was fine. Thanks in advance for any ideas |

Check the grounds and look at that 2step controller.

FWIW.... My all stock 2020 M6 has shut down on me one time so far like you described. Fired right up with a normal start though and no codes. 35xx miles

i'll check the grounds tonight after work, that could actually be it, i just re-routed the wiring on that actually so I may have left a loose connection.

well, No idea why it happened still but I'm just gonna put it down to gremlins for now.
Checked my grounds as recommended and all were good. I went out for a long drive of over 200 miles on saturday and didn't have any issues at all. |
