Can't enter relearn mode

I reinstalled a set of wheels that had previously been mounted on the car however when I go to the tpms display and hold the select button I don't get the horn beep and it will not enter the learn mode. Discount tire relearned the last set of wheels and it went right into learn mode and they were able to relearn them in 30 seconds. The set I am trying to relearn now was on the car and working fine just two weeks ago. Any ideas? Maybe a disconnect and reconnect of the battery?

Did you have the ignition in on/run (press and hold for 5 seconds, switch light should be green) and not just accessory (quick press, light is amber)? Also, was the park brake set?

I tried it in accessory and with engine running. Yesterday it went into relearn but my tool did not work. I thought maybe it was the battery but today it just says to service tpms system and will not enter relearn mode. I didn't notice the status of the switch light.

Hm, not sure then. I'd try it in run by holding the start button for at least 5 seconds but not starting the engine. If that still doesn't work, pulling the battery for a few minutes and reconnecting might help.
