Katskin seats

Hey guys. i have a 1ss and want to install leather on my car. Has anyone on here used a kit like this? I'm thinking black leather outside, black suede inserts, and red stitching. Thoughts?

Will they are very highly rated. Sundering like this would be a professional install.

Their kits are always professionally installed. So, I would recommend looking for a local vendor of theirs.

I have katskin in my Sorento. It's about as close to factory leather as you will find. I would definitely use in my Camaro if it didn't already have leather.

I did their kit on my.5th gen, and also on my charger. Both times DIY. I'm not a professional, but as long as you get the right tools, all it takes is a strong grip, and common sense.

The kit is complete, def great quality.

Will see if I can and the post or some pics...

I thought you need to steam them and stretch? Does that not matter?

I mean If they are massively loose, but I dont have a steamer, didn't plan to buy one. I stretched mine by hand, and hog ringed em the same. The charger Seats, I did overnight one Friday, even took a break at one point to get to a jiggly room for a few hours with a friend having a bad night. Came back home and finishe'd the rest.

The sun should smooth the rest out if you do em right.

Since the avg seats are vinyl with leather included, the steam merely softens it really.

Do they fit and feel like OEM leather? Did you install them personally or have a shop do it?

They were installed at the dealer before I bought the car. They feel nice to me, but I don't know what the stock seats felt like.

I just ordered my kit. I did the 2 one combo. Outside black leather, inside black suede with red stitching.

the link that YOU JUST quoted, stated all the tools I needed and used

even had a picture

the charger will be different than the Camaro, but in general, you need snips and hog ring pliers. the sockets will be a bit different and whatnot to remove the seat from the floor board. if you have even the basic of tool kits with sockets, you should be ok
