Yes I love carbon fiber
I really do love the look of carbon fiber. My last two cars had some touches of it here and there. My colection of cf is not complete yet but this is what I have so far.
The zl1 cf dash  Steering wheel name plate. More trim pieces to follow  CF mirror caps   Strut bar and hood struts wrapped  Interior ensemble with suede knee pads and led door sills, gm pedal kit and console lid  More to follow...

I'm not exactly following about the steering wheel. It's literally just red thread wrapped around the steering wheel? How is it tied off?

You use a fisherman's not to tie it off. The offset color helps you to see where the center of the steering wheel is at.

The red thread just gets fed through with a needle. No knots or anything it just stays.
Cf steering wheel piece is actually wrapped and the mirrors are off eBay
