Help on Repairing/Repainting a Splitter/1le
Hey there!
It seems that i came in to hard and wide and clipped a low curb. In the process of repairing the tab that broke on the splitter with some epoxy, but now i also need to buff out the small scratches i made. I got varying grit of sandpaper/blocks and sanded the area smooth. They are now smoothed out but lighter in color. the question is how do i refinish the paint to match the rest of the splitter? gloss black, flat black or grey. not sure if there is a paint code for plastic. There was a pretty detailed post on some facebook page but damn i can find it. Once the epoxy cures, i will be able to 3m tape it to the car, just need to clean up the other blemish! Thanks in advance. Any questions please ask!

Sand everything down and repaint the whole thing. I wouldn't try to blend it.

You could always plasti dip it. That's what I did with my splitter. It matches real nice with the grill and it'll match your hood. It's also easier to repair rock chips or damage.

I'll buy it off you if you end up buying a new one.

quite aware of the various colors but it doesn't appear to be a flat black, or am I mistaken. trying to maintain the same color as original. could buy a new one but those funds could go toward something else. (thinking fenders w/vents!)
thanks for the ideas.

Once it dries it'll look like the hood. It'll look glossy at first, but only because it's wet.
