I did something similar, but yours looks outstanding! A factory like appearance.
Great job!

Hey do you think you may be able to post a picture of your phone using that in the car? I am looking to buy of those for my iPhone, but not too sure how well it works or if the cable would reach from the plug. Thanks!

Got my ProClip today and I love it! I ordered these two parts:

http://www.proclipusa.com/phone-hold...667-19736.cmsv

My new stereo iPhone cable is exposed right next to this mount in the center console. Works perfectly. My phone slides in and out of the holster with minimal force but stays snug for rotation. In my scenario I'm using a direct connect cable for integration and charging so pulling the phone from he holder with the cable attached is ideal - vs other proclips mounts that have built in connections.

kuda mount plus proclip cradle.

proclip:

not cheap, but worth it IMO,, I ran the USB cable up under the console and came out above the 4-pack gauges, attached to the proclip mount, all I have to do is drop the phone in the cradle when I get in the car and lift it out when I exit, no messing with cables

20-30$ on amazon. Can mount it almost anywhere. I usually have it on my dash right above the vents like I would with a GPS like garvin or something. Can hold anything from a business card to a whopping Galaxy Note 3. I use it with a note 3 WITH A CASE or my iphone which has an otterbox. One size fits all kinda thing. Check the pics and videos on the site i posted. The suction cup mount is about the same strength as a go Pro suction cup. Theres a video on the bottom of the page that shows them picking up a 26lbs microwave LOL. And it comes off in a breeze if you want it to.You can even put it on the outside of the car and ride around with it, I have done it. Been using it for the 2 years I have had my car. HIGHLY recommended.

I love ProClip. Been using them in My Mustang for several years, and now in my Camaro. They do great work.

Could we get a picture? I'm trying to decided between that one and the center console mounted one. I'm just worried the dash mount will leave a gap between the dash and the speaker mount up there.

I have a Note 2 and bought the overpriced window mount from Samsung. It is very sturdy and does a great job holding the phone. I recommend the two usb port Anker 24W. I am using something a bit under that in terms of power and it does a good job but seriously thinking about upgrading to the Anker since my fiance and I tend to have multiple devices going on any trip (a few phones, a couple of tablets, laptops).

I asked if anyone knew of a GUN HOLSTER to mount without drilling or cutting. It's a crazy world and nobody is carjacking me....ever. Gotta love the Texas Safe Motorist Act - bit I've got a CHL, so I "don't leave home without it"
