I got the trans installed today (from the bottom) and it ended up that having the Dirty Dingo slide mounts worked out pretty good as I needed a little more clearance in the bellhousing area so I just slid the engine forward about an inch and gained all the room I needed............I also took the stock crossmember and bolted it up to the trans ......Cool.....Just need to drill some new holes in the frame when it hits the sweet spot....LOL......although we are pretty close right now.......I also have plenty of room with the 4L70E trans to shim the trans mount to get the correct drivetrain angle later..........Too Cool!!!........Time for a Nap!!!

Very nice, I am wondering how long before a modern ZL1 driveline is put in a 69 Camaro?

Well, I've got to say it brought some tears to my eyes to see that motor come out of that car. I'm just one of those old-farts that would have a difficult time (except for those suspension/brakes changes), making the major changes you have going here.

I will never forget getting the call from McManus Chevrolet (67th (South) Western, Chicago) saying they were just unloading it off the truck back in April 1966. I couldn't get there fast enough... I envy you and the fun you must be having with this transformation. Best of luck!!

It will be one nice car when you are done! Will this be your ride next year at the Muscle Car Aventures? It will be nice to see it in person.
