Those With Carbon Fiber Dash Piece

Looking at the one I just received, it appears to have a "dip" or "dent" in the lower left corner. Don't know if this is inherent is all or I got one that slipped through QC.......kinda hard to notice in the pics but it's pretty visible to me in person......

Thanks

Unfortunately I can’t tell you if that’s normal on the carbon fiber piece, but the standard Alcantara piece does not have that dip, so my guess is that you have a bad piece that slipped past QC. I’m actually interested in adding the carbon fiber insert on my ZLE. If you don’t mind, where did you get the insert and how much was it? I know it was a $500 addition MSRP but not sure if it’s more or less than that if buying separately.

Wow, that’s cheaper than the factory option. Thank you for the link. Wildhammer has been awesome to work with on other parts, I will definitely buy from them again.

Firecaptain, will the DIC cover that lower edge or will it be visible? Just wondering. It might be okay to use if it does.

Mine doesn't seem to have the same "dent", see pic. This corner is not too conspicuous when installed, to be honest.

No dip or blemish here either. Mine is factory installed.

Thank you guys!.......it can really be felt and is one of those "certain angle" things that can be seen. Sending it back for an exchange.
