I wouldn't run the MSD with boost. Get the BTR trinity or Procharger intake. Turbo setup will allow more power per psi then supercharger due to virtually no parasitic pumping loss. Turbo is more complex but I like the Huron speed setup.

You can also run Port Injection with PD. The Edelbrock 2650 comes with the PI ports. Or ToohighPSI makes port injection runner plates that sandwhich between the heads and supercharger for the Magnuson 2650.

I think your big question is roots, twin screw or turbo. Or I suppose that's only the question if you're waiting for the Whipple 3.0L or picking up a used 2.9 since new ones aren't currently available. Magnuson & Edelbrock are roots while Whipple is twin screw.

Separate controller/ECU.

I'm running a twin turbo kit on mine with port injection through a Procharger intake. The extra 8 injectors are controlled by a Holley ECU.

Is the holy ECU running everything or just the new injectors?

I believe most use the Holley to control just the port injection. Crawford racing makes a popular setup.

Sorry just saw this, the Holley controls the port injection and boost, the rest of the car is controlled by the stock ECU.

My holley controls port injection, spark, and a bunch of other inputs/outputs. Can also have it set to control boost if you want, but I did not want to install a wastegate

Interested in how you relegated spark control to the Holley unit without confrontation with the factory ECU.

Educate me please.

This is a prime example of what I was talking about the other day...solid deal.

New Whipple, LT4 fuel system, and headers for 7k.

You just wire the coils over to the holley. All the other stuff you all ready did to run the fuel is done.

I went ahead and checked my base timing once it was on the 2nd ecm and it was exactly where I expected it to be.

Once the timing is over on the new ecm you have some nice safeties you can turn on.

If I were ready to buy, id pounce on that whipple setup.

I think ive settled on whatever i can reasonably get out of 93 (with the lt4 fuel system) or 600whp whatevers lower for my mid term goals. once there, ill try to run an ethanol blend to keep everything cool and happy. Like if it makes 580 on 93, ill run e25 just to keep her safer without uping the boost.

Once im ready to really go for it, Ill get a TSP (or whoever's) Stroker shortblock and wrench it up to 800 wheel on e85. Get to enjoy the car in more states. 600 should get me high 10s on good tires id hope.
