Yes you can jump it from the connections by the fuse box

Its best to charge the battery up with a proper battery charger 24 hours.

you will get better results jump starting directly to the battery in the trunk.

Most jumper cables the connections are poor and its hard to get more than 10 amps to a battery connected that way unless you use an DC amp clamp.

That positive post under the hood is so small most jumper cables slip right off it I dont think its even 1/8" around.

Silly question, but if the battery is completely dead, can he even open the trunk? Climbing through the back seat is an option, of course, but a pretty cumbersome one.

yes good point!

Power to the front might get enough to open the trunk.

Install a new battery is another option right there on the spot.

Both my 600 and 1000 amp starter was enough to lock/unlock doors and open trunk. It also allowed me to roll my window back up.

Since we are in the USA I dont want to give you advice that is incorrect for your country.

Any 12 volt direct current output, 12VDC, device should work.

here is a good one.

Also there is no reason you cant take the battery out of your car and bring to to a place to charge it fully and then reinstall it in the car.
