I’m not following that one. I didn’t think that MRC is/was GM intellectual property. I think GM was first and may have had a short term of exclusivity, but whomever owns the intellectual property could shop it to anyone after the period of exclusivity expires. I expect this to happen with Dynamic Fuel Management.

Hopefully they are just allowing them to put it in these vehicles only and not sharing/farming out the technology completely to Honda. I can see it already. In 2023/2024 Honda will release these vehicles and market the crap out their self driving technology. Everyone will think Honda created the technology and have no idea that GM has been doing it for years, much less realize that GM gave Honda the technology in the first place.

They may have the opportunity to profit more if they sell it rather than just putting on Cadillac. Since Cadillac isn't a big seller and SC hasn't been available on anything other than CT6, they could make more money off of the technology this way.

There’s already a plan to roll it out across all GM brands. First Cadillac, then GMC (Hummer EV) then gradually just about everything.

From memory - GM traded Magneride to Ferrari for their E-differentials which began installations on the C7 Corvette.

Ehh?? Well crap. My 2015 Colorado has that. It was changed in 2016 or 2017 I think? The Canyon has always had the full color version. I can't imagine why they'd downgrade all of them now. Sad move if so. Good chance I may make a move on a 2021 High Elevation trim Canyon... Unless I just decide to wait a few more years and go for the new generation.

Been tossing around the idea of picking up a leftover 2019/2020 or even a slightly used one for a good price and then make a move on a next gen a short while after it drops. So many choices lol.
