Do they let Gen v powered mustangs in here? Lots of data eventually.

We are talking lightweight car, giant turbos and all kinds of data. Egt’s, per cylinder o2’s, maybe some cylinder pressure info. Will be playing with fuels.

Yeah I want to be fast but as much as that I want to learn some stuff.

So far I have the roller paid for, a junkyard 5.3 and a pile of header/manifold options and some turbskis on the way.

If it's powered by Gen 5 I don't see why not, but it might be better suited for LS1tech or something that has a Gen 5 section. Problem is that place is dead.

Either way cool build...always look forward to reading your posts and appreciate the info you share!

I called vs racing to ask about all their 7875 turbo options and they told me I can’t put 78mm turbos on a 5.3 so instead I ordered a pair of their 80mm turbos. 🙂 don’t tell me what I can’t do.

They might be right... These are pretty big. If It doesn’t spool I will spray it. If that doesn’t work I will get Kurt Urban to build me a iron 6.6 and if needed spray that.

The mirror image part may have drawn me into a poor decision but it will be a fun experiment.

I agree with King, definitely love all the turbo goodness you post here. Keep it coming!

You may have to do what the Viper guys do... punch the motor out to 9.0 liters to get the monster twins to spool!

I'd imagine it would need a healthy cam and a really solid valvetrain to find some useable rpms in which those giant twins finally spool up. What are you thinking: full boost by around 5,000ish rpm without spray?

I don’t have an exact plan. My current motor(gen v 5.3) doesn’t drop below 6300 other than the launch.

I would expect to be able to get to at least 4500rpm on the trans brake/2 step. I am hoping WITH nitrous I am able to build however much boost I want and when I leave it is able to hold/ramp the boost without any nitrous.

That being said I can get creative with the nitrous and do whatever it takes.

Sounds like you might be able to get it to launch on at least a couple lbs, might be a softer hit but that set up is going to put up some impressive trap speeds. Can't wait to see what you can do with it.

A 2650 would help those spool nicely...

But you can’t do that.

Awesome!!!...twin 80s!!!!...those are some slick turbskis. cant wait to see how you situate them. Gonna be sick with those mirror image units and your level and depth of build.
