I plan to meet with you at Punkin Center for the drive on Monday. I have to head back north after lunch and will miss the Moonshiner 28 drive.

I just spoke to the Inn and they will cook for us in a group when we get there, Sunday night. I have committed to calling them from the road to give them our ETA. I did state that we wouldn't be too late.

One further point is that they do not have HBO. I was thinking seeing some dragons might be a good prelude to slaying a dragon the next day.

It's getting close now. Gotta get those last few things done to get the camaro ready. Made a reservation at Dillard Inn. Anyone know how the pictures work on the dragon. Do you set something up ahead of time?

There are several professionals that have their spots on The Dragon. There's Slayer129.com, Killboy.com and at least two others. You search their websites by the day and time to find your car. There are even a couple for Moonshiner28.

Another note is that I hope to be able to setup myself to shoot a couple of movies of the group as you all pass.

A little more information:
I think we need to be rolling from Bowling Green at 3:00pmish at the very latest.

It is ~ 4hrs from Bowling Green to the Dragon Pitt Inn. I am thinking mostly interstate highways. After the trip to the cave and what lies ahead of us on Monday, we should be fine with a few miles of interstate.

It is ~40 minutes from the Dragon Pitt Inn to Chilhowee Lake pull-off. I suggest we take pictures and ground ourselves for the Dragon. Just ahead lies Tabcat Bridge and the start of The Tail of the Dragon.

From Tabcat to the gate is the classic 11 miles of the Tail. However, many locals consider a full run to be the 23 miles that takes you down to Tapoco Lodge.

I think we need to be out and about at 8:00-8:30. Earlier times means less traffic.

After lunch and maybe one more pass, we head out Moonshiner28 (intersects at Deals Gap). Moonshiner28 takes us to Highlands, NC in ~2.5 Hours.

We have time for a break and relax (ice cream anyone?). We take 106 south out of Highlands, NC and ~30 minutes to the Dillard House. I think this will take at least an hour due to the great pull-offs and picture locations.

Dinner and conversation at The Dillard House.

I for one am hoping you can make the trip. By the time we roll-out from The Cave, your duties should be about over.
