Aftermarket NPP exhaust for 2018 ZL1

What’s a good aftermarket system that uses a he NPP function and sounds good and loud when open but is close to stock with no drone when closed. I know there are only a few options but I don’t wanna lose the quiet note when there closed like on my stock exhaust.

Ya but corsa doesn’t have an NPP option and I needs to keep that for when I do headers. Need the quiet mode for my neighborhood

With headers and a cat/secondary cat delete with new x pipe/mid pipes added, I personally would leave the OEM suitcase in place.

With that said, Borla and aFE, IMHO have both fabricated a really nice aftermarket exhaust. Both are NPP.

Are you sure? I saw a youtube video recently of someone adding a Corsa to their SS Camaro and it had 2 modes.

Corsa does not make a dual mode exhaust or as paraphrased here "NPP" which is actually the old option code I believe.

Borla S-Type and ATAK both look like solid (EXPENSIVE and IMO Overpriced) systems. Stainless Works I believe is dual mode. But if you want the best, look at Meisterschaft by GT Haus. It starts at $1999 without valves and then can be modified from there. If you have the coin, it's the best.

I thought about leaving the stock exhaust and doing headers and midpioe but wasn’t sure if I was missing out on some horsepower leaving stock exhaust in

Nope you're not. No power to be gained with an axle back. At max, 5 HP but likely 0.

Biggest benefit is weight savings as the stock axle back is quite heavy.

I beat this topic to death. I had stainless works on my car and it was so loud even with the valves closed it was awful I put the stock muffler back on and ran the mid pipe all the way back. I saw ZERO hp increase on the dyno.

SOMEone needs to wake those folks at SOLO performance up and explain to them the market they are missing.. Those guys made THE best exhuast for the 5thGen and they were cheap.. Would still recommend anyone w/ a 5thGen to shop those guys!
