Does Borla S Type/2nd cat delete need a tune?

So if I install a Borla S Type full exhaust and also do a 2nd Cat delete will the car need to be tuned?

So it will sound like this...

You’ll be fine with those mods. If you mess with the primary cats or obviously headers you’ll need a tune.

So the ECM is fine with the rear O2 sensors deleted or just blowing in the wind? Won't it at least throw a code?

I don’t believe so. I ended up going with most of the bolt-on stuff in my SS, but I read that an exhaust & secondary cat delete won’t throw codes.

If you buy link pipes from one of the major companies they should have bungs for the rear sensors, so they are still there even though the secondary cats are gone.

ok, thanks. Makes sense. Now that I think about it, the HF cats I put on my 2010 SS had bungs for the rears, but they also came with an extension you had to screw in to keep the rear sensors mostly out of the stream or it would throw a code.
