What is the normal spark timing advance at w.o.t.? 91 octane
I couple of times I noticed the car to be down on power. Almost like the PTM kicking in wet mode or something, except it's not in PTM mode and traction control is off. Plugged in my torque app and checked for intake air temperatures, knock retard, ignition timing. Everything looked good except ignition timing was between 2 degrees and 8 degrees at wide open throttle. Closer to the 2 degrees side in higher gears. Seems way low to me. Anyone know?

Stock car will have 23-25 in it depending on air temp. If you have 2 degrees it’s in the low octane table and pulling all it can on top due to air temps. Never seen one pull timing like that though. Unless bad fuel was used and the car was detonating.

I don't think you can run 23 degrees on 91 octane. I ran 25 degrees with my 2650 on race fuel and meth. I think it closer to about 18 degrees 91.

Ill recheck mine but I was thinking I was seeing 22 degrees with 93 octane and possible E85 added in..by mistake of course.

would love to hear back on this thread. Also feel my zl1 is lacking power since I got it. Bought it used from low elevation area now I'm extremely high elevation and I just don't get the same power that I got when I first got it shipped here, for about 1-2 weeks I could w.o.t in 1st and 2nd gear and have my back end whip outa little bit. Now I can't even get a squeal off the dig. Maybe a tune needed?

On E30 I run around 22 degrees of timing. On 93 I can only run around 18 max. Thats with a 9.1 lower pulley.

GM motors are VERY octane sensitive.
I dont't have the blower, just the SS 1LE, but I need a 50/50 mixurwe of 101 and 91 to get the full potential on mine here in CA at sea level.
