Engine reduced power...

Ok so I can’t seem to figure out the problem myself so I’m here to hopefully find an answer lol

Every time I do a hard pull right after my car shifts at redline my car will say engine reduced power, It would start misfiring , I would have to pull over turn the car off and back on and its fine it’s like nothing ever happened. Everything will be fine again unless I do some pulls. I keep getting engine reduced power and having to pull over on the freeway which really sucks .. any thoughts ? So weird that the problem would happen and just go away after turning car on an off . Thanks in advance you guys got me through so much on these forums !

Seems to be some good information on the site. I would start by reading the code history and find out why the engine went into limp mode. Your computer is not liking something.

How many WHP you at? The only thing I could think of would be running out of fuel with e85 but most people have been fine with the mods you have. hmmm....

I forgot to mention the code I would get.

Do you have a throttle controller?

The D circuit on Chevy's appears to include three sensors.
Accel pedal position
TPS1
TPS2
This link is for Cruze:
http://www.autocats.ws/manual/chevro...520159.en.html

I suspect you are getting a fallout because the ECM is applying 5V to one of the TPS sensors and getting a reading out of the expected range. This is undoubtedly caused by some combination of the mods you have done to intake and exhaust which affect A/F mixture. Remember, when you go to wide open throttle you are in open loop, and the ECM will be looking for everything to be hunky-dory vis-a-vis the fuel maps it has on hand.

With the mods you have I assume the car has been tuned, have you reached out to the person that did the tuning to see what might be the issue?

I was thinking that. Need to reach out to the tuner. If there was one. I'd hope so. Or he can just go to the dealership. Doesn't seem like a major code being thrown.

I had just recently gotten tuned at a very reputable shop. (Addiction Motorsports in Canoga Park California) . He just told me that it’s not tune related because “tunes don’t change , mechanical changes” . He said something might be melted somewhere or rubbing . So I took it in and we still couldn’t figure it out. He said he doesn’t see any burnt wires .

Based on what ctlz listed, have you tried taking out the ported throttle body and put the stock one back on? Be a quick and easy check there for TB issues.
