Rotofab intake, PRAY ported manifold/throttle body installed.

I finally got everything on my 1LE and setup this afternoon. IT.FVCKING.RIPS.

Highly recommended mods!! No tune required - though it's cool to know that there's more HP ready to be unleashed when I decide to tune it.

I was driving it today and thinking that it's hard to imagine this car being any more fun. I've had so many modded cars over the years, but this 1LE with just a few bolt ons is incredible.

I just installed my Rotofab last week and I think i'll be looking at getting Pray's ported IM/TB really soon. After seeing all these posts I want to see what i'm missing out on haha.

There is some drive-ability improvements when installing the above.
But turning your car into a Tire Shredding Monster it does not.
Some of the butt dyno reviews are getting out of hand.

Thanks for the review JBones. The extra 20-30rw I am sure feels nice. The combination of the RF w/ Dry filter and the ported IM/TB is a great upgrade for cars w/o tunes for sure.

I don't have any track slips but here is a non butt dyno review.

I picked up 2 tenths with Prays IM/TB. Was able to go from 12.4 bone stock to 12.2 on the performance page with stock runflats. Then I got 11.9 with some torque Management tuning. My last adjustment was addressing the overly sensitive knock sensors which resulted in going from 21-22degrees timing to 24 without touching the spark tables. It seems LT1's show KR no matter what stock. I did not get to run it again to see what it picked up, but I bet there is another tenth easy. Tires and E85, this car will go mid 11's on the street. Maybe even low 11 once the tune is sorted.

Tuning makes a huge difference on these cars. At least an aggressive tune does. Some tuners and canned tunes are really conservative and leave a lot on the table.

The snow is flying so I won't be getting anymore runs this year.

You know what I mean.

I would recommend this to everyone.
R.F with your combo, about $1000 and 90 minutes of your time for +20HP.

The car is so much more responsive and "quick." Also, I will say that traction in 1st is more of an issue now than it was before. That's not just my butt dyno talking.

For the change in drivability, not just the HP gain, these mods are worth the $$

Sounds like you are not happy about your mods?

My 1LE went from stock to RF CAI, deleted secondary cats, PRAY ported IM/TB all at once. The car went from barely being able to spin 2nd gear during the springs months to being able to spin 2nd easily at the start of summer to now being able to spin in 3rd gear with me being tuned on E85.

A 20rwhp gain is very legit with those mods, I think the OP would have got more with the PRAY OEM IM over the MSD intake, but thats my opinion.

I hear you. You are running my stuff on your H/C combo so I know you know they work.

Some people mod a lot then they think they are the kings, looking down at the little people modding.

We all had to start somewhere. My first mod was the Roto fab (on current Camaro), which I sold because I made an in-line custom air intake. . Everyone builds are different and money is a big factor. Nothing wrong with stock, out of the box these cars are amazing. It’s just so fun to build and mod even more.

I have to edit this post a bit because of post below. Lol : technically my first mod was done in 1977 on my 70.5 Camaro, I turned up the air cleaner lid for the added growl then a shit load of mods started and have never stopped.

Second pic below is my only surving picture on my first car with a 35 mm with I had to take to get developed.

I agree I started repairing ,making our own parts doing bolt ons and experimenting before they called it " mods " probably around 1988-1989 with a grand national. We used sockets to compress fuel pressure regulators to richen fuel mixture . Hollowed out cats and was one of the very first guys to run 12s in a turbo regal back 30 years ago when 12's were quick , lol

Now a days other than loving my 6gen nightfall grey SS. I am always tinkering with my other camaro ( a 1st Gen SS 67 camaro )
Pic below .
