Thank you CHerna! Yes, she got shout-outs and thumbs up the couple times I've taken her out. If you mean the 10 speed automatic, yes it is. Only 16 miles on it so far so can't comment too much.

pfreedma, I saw your car at the Matick dealership a couple of weeks ago. Tried to take some good pictures, but they are not the best.
The garage setting was not a great place to take pictures. The car looked awesome, it looks waaayyy better than these pictures.
I never came close to touching the car, I knew it was sold, just wanted to see the color.
The George Matick dealership was Nice and very big.
Love the car, Great looking car!

Hey Shadow6, thanks for the update and pics...yes Alan at Matick took good car of me and the car, glad you like! Interesting that there were 3 C8's all sold to out of state customers waiting in the showroom for delivery...some pics just FYI. Still a year and a half or so wait list I understand...

My car’s color is Wild Cherry Tintcoat. So what exactly is a “tintcoat”? Is it a two stage or a three stage paint job?

As far as I know, it's a 3-stage paint, first the base coat that has the underlying color is applied, then a "tintcoat" layer to enrich the base, with flakes if the color is metallic, then finally the clear.

Touch-up flavors obviously have the first and second stage coat already premixed, but I've only applied that to relatively small spots and parts, and the match was fine to the untrained eye (see a garnet red tintcoat grille insert from my old V6 that I painted using an ACDelco touch-up can)

Thanks for the info. I did some paint correction on my car before applying ceramic coating. Saw some red in my polishing pad. Was really not that much, just wondering if the clearcoat was Thin or if the final stage coating was actually tinted.

GM paint isn't as thick as it used to be (money saver).

IDK guys, I was playing around the build site and see I can load up a 2SS in wild cherry with pretty much every option (less the 1LE) and it is still coming up less than the couple of Scat Packs trims I was thinking of getting. The biggest gripe I have is the trunk opening, but then again I wonder how much of an issue it would be for a DD since I'm single?

I've been daily driving gen6 Camaros since May 2016. I can fit a large roller suitcase through the opening so it works for me.

The truck itself is large enough for a single guy. The opening presents challenges.

You're in Ohio. Do you have concerns about the tries during winter?
