Kooks now offers x pipe/ mid section to connect to headers

https://www.vividracing.com/kooks-co...151948269.html

Emailed kooks to see if they are able to sell the exhaust mid section without axleback portion

Turns out it was just released. This is the only place I’ve found it so far. I also noticed they are offering some more options for exhaust as well

Just thought I would pass it along

Took awhile. Good to see new products.

..but, I am guessing running pipe back from the headers would be a lot cheaper done at a custom exhaust shop.

I’ve only found two places within driving distance that have mandrel benders. The last place I called couldn’t give me an exact figure without seeing the car but he was guessing around 500

That price is insane for some SS tubing.

That is pretty expensive. I got my Borla 60606 for under $500 and cut it to mate up to Kooks LTs.

The most insane part is that I paid less for my Kooks LT headers with the catless mid pipes. I would imagine they spent significantly less R&D for these than on my headers so I just can't understand the prices these companies are putting out for like you said, 3 inch diameter tubing...

I was thinking the same thing. I paid less for the headers. And they were coated

Because they can and there are suckers that will pay the price.

You can get a full MBRP catback for less than that. Rip off

I think they should sell catless headers with x pipe for $1499. They would make a ton more sales.

Agreed... I would have purchased that kit if it were available without thinking twice.

I went with Speed engineerings x-pipe kit for $180 and tied it into my TSP 2" headers and stock NPP muffler. Some custom fabrication was required, but it saved me over 200 compared to going with TSP x-pipes. If Speed engineering would have had their 2" header out, I would have gone that route instead.

Sorry to bump an old thread, but I have a dumb question: Does Kooks sell a long tube header kit that includes the X-pipe to stock muffler? I see the parts available separately (22602600-LT headers) + (22604181-pipes) ,but the cost for both is $2600? What am I missing? ARH sells their header with the off-road X-pipe for (CAV8-16200300LSNC)~$2300, and some retailers are offering the whole thing for a little over 2 grand.
