Best way to put car on jacks

I need to put the car on jack stands and cant find the best way to do it. The search function sucks (at least how I am using it)...

I have ZL1 addons jacking pads for the stands but where should I put the jack
Pics would be awesome!

Thanks,

Pete

I wouldn’t use the jack pads for stands. They are rounded and I imagine slipping would be pretty easy. I use the jack pads only for jacking up the car. To lift the rear only I jack the car up from the diff.

pretty hard to do (yeah, I tried on purpose), but I started turning my jack stands 90 degrees and the jackpad fits perfectly.

That's what I had been doing but now we are being told explicitly not to use the jack pads for jack stands (I'm guessing something happened to prompt this).

I've watched the video from LethalGarage but I'd love a nice clear picture of what to do. I wish GM would tell us.

On a side note, where exactly do you guys jack up on the rear diff? The warning about the eLSD harness makes me think twice about it.

My concern using the QuickJack via the aft and fwd/aft point is the potential for having too much unsupported weight in front. While I have no doubt that it’s safe, others have complained about wrinkles developing due to the amount of weight hanging off the front. I’d buy the QuickJack if I could figure out which model uses the most fwd and aft points.

I have not use the quick Jack but from the looks I don't think it would be stable in the front from what I see in the pictures. The front looks like it hangs way over the balance of the vehicle. I have not use the jack pads either so do not know if jack stands are safe or not to use with the pads. It would be nice to have a Q&A on this to see how many yes or no there is.

The BL-5000EXT will reach the furthest front jackpoint... I have the BL-5000SLX and it lifes fine, the car is very stable and haven't had any issues... I did recently by the extensions for my 5000SLX that turn it into a 5000EXT just to be safe (cost $200)... Haven't tried them yet, though...

Again....go to quickjacks website and use their fitment guide. Take 5 mins to measure your car. Those that just keep posting up links on some quickjack sale are not helping. Everytime it's either the 3500 or 5000 standard version which will not reach the proper lift points for these cars.
