False PSI reading
Started the car up this morning and I had the passenger front reading 21 psi and I got the nice warnings in my dash. Got out and checked the tire pressure and it was at 33. I went ahead and got it up to 35psi but the tpms still showed 21 psi. I went ahead and went to work. Leaving work the display still showed 21 but my manual check with two different gauges showed 35. Any idea what is going on and how to fix this?

Step one would be to do the regular reset of all four wheels using a TPMS reset tool.
If that doesn't work, step two would be to replace the problem sensor. |

Just a shot in the dark, but before I went buying new parts, I would change the pressure to something low but not instantly damaging like 15 psi, then just go far enough at a low speed for the sensor to read it and then pump it back up and do over and see what you get. Of course, that may have no effect...

Bear in mind, when the car is sitting the TPMS sensors go dormant. Once you start driving they take a couple of miles to wake up and start working. Also the battery in the TPMS sensor are not serviceable, the sensors only have a 4-6 year life span before they will need to be replaced.
