Bigger Guy - Smaller ZL1 Seat - TOO TIGHT

Any 'bigger people' on here what have a difficult time fitting comfortably in the 2017-18 ZL1 seat? Any fixes you have found? Thanks . . . .

Is there a way to adjust the bolsters OUT on these things? They're tight on my legs/back, my knees have to be pushed together or the bolster presses firmly on my thighs. I'm not fat/over weight, I'm just wider/bulkier...The Recaro's in the CTS-V3 and ATS-V are adjustable in every direction.

6'3" 29x lbs (down from 365 in aug1 and still dropping)

Seats fit great for me. I like to set the seat all the way back and recline as far as possible. Then I ratchet the belt tight and set my driving position. Poor man
s harness!

At 6'7" how in the heck do you get in and out?
I'm 5'10" roughly 260 and have problems if the door isn't open all the way and the seats aren't in the exit position.
As far as sitting in the seats, snuck as a bug..........

I don't think there's enough adjustments in the seat either. None in the thigh or side bolster area. GM took a standard Camaro seat frame brought in the side and thigh bolsters, added microfiber seat inserts, stuck on a Recaro badge, and called it a day. The seat needs a little more lumbar support too.

There may be a way to put the seat back frame and bottom frame from an SS in the seat which has wider bolsters while keeping the Recaro padding. The Recaro frames could be heated and possibly widened a little too. Neither are easy fixes, but I hate being uncomfortable in a car seat too.

For that amount of work, you could also try bolting in a Corvette seat.

If I were to bolt in 'another seat' regardless of the seat's source, I wonder how the car will react to having the electrical connection to the seat disconnected. There are air bag connections, seat heater connections, seat ventilation connections, seat adjuster connections, etc . . . .

There is no exit position for my seat. It is all the way back, all the time.
I use my A Pillar to suspend myself using my left hand, while I squeeze myself in, feet first.

I had to cancel an order on a Z/28 over the seats. Lost over 100 lbs "keto" and seats fit perfect now.

The ZL1 seats are also a bit wider than the bolsters on the Z/28 too.

The way prices went on the Z/28 being over weight was a good thing for once. 5th Gen ZL1 seats are awesome for the big guys.

I called a auto interior company and they suggested pulling padding out on the sides and adding a little to the middle. I might try it and let you know. It seems like bending the frame out would work the best though.
