Need new jump-pack, suggestions?

Hi guys,

My 10+ year old 18lb jump-pack is apparently unable to perform like it used to. Much has happened in jump-pack technology since I bought this unit, many using Li-ion batteries. The unit I had worked well for many years for a 3.2L V6 car I keep in NJ. While I’m inclined to buy the same unit again, the lighter weight of the newer products is something I’d consider assuming it can perform as well particularly in the winter months.

Recommendations?

Thanks,
Chris

the noco gb40 from gm is 99 bucks and is very small. If you have any GM reward points you can use it to purchase it

I carry a noco 40 in each of my cars, but I also have a noco 70 in the garage for larger vehicles. if your battery is totally dead the noco 40 barely does the job.

My understanding is that if the battery is dead you can't open the trunk. Which of course is where I have my jumpstarter lol. Where do you all keep yours (in the car, not the garage)?

I have the noco40. if the car (atleast my zl1) will unlock and roll over maybe once, the noco will barely crank it, but it will.

if the battery is flat, 3 attempts will kill out the noco with no help whatsoever.

I'm going to get atleast a 2000amp to crank the camaro in such cases

I have a DBPower 1200 and I strap mine down in the back seat using the seat belt. That way at least I'm getting some use out of those cramped back seats!

Good idea! Or maybe on the floor in some kind of padded bag back there - I'm not tall, so it might fit. Hmm . . .
