Home Depot and costo's have lower prices when the quickjack site isn't having a sale.
Because the garage that I have at my apartment isn't very wide, I went with a 3 ton floor jack from Harbor Freight that has a lift height just over 24" and my 6 ton jack stands have a height of 24" which is the same as the Quickjacks. With the Quickjacks you have can only get under your car from the front or rear. Whereas once the car is on jack stands, I can slide under from the sides too.

yup, i normally stack two. one of the punch weld types and another rubber block under that.

no its not sketchy at all and recommended by quickjack they have a full video on how to do it correctly. i do it all the time, perfectly stable. follow their instructions ...
